I look forward to working with you as a facilitator in our upcoming cohort. I am a sustainability professional who works in the energy sector in Vancouver, B.C. I am dedicated to advancing and embedding sustainable development in my spheres of work and life. I am an active contributor to our community of transformational change leaders at the Praxis Institute. I bring the lens of appreciative forms to inquiry to amplify transformational change.
My Story
I came to Praxis Institute as a Transformational Leadership Program participant in 2020 to find ways of further integrating the SDGs in my work and life. They have served as my compass point for many years now. I then joined the Praxis facilitation team in the next cohort to deepen my practice as a transformational change agent and support others to do the same.
With intention, I’ve pursued work in sectors that are catalysts for impact. I began my career in the higher education sector and transitioned to the energy sector seven years ago, where I focus on sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives. In this pursuit, I’ve brought an intrapreneurial mindset, seeking to ignite momentum for positive change in the organizations where I’ve worked or volunteered.
My approach to transformational change is anchored in the three systems of change that we use in the Transformational Leadership Program at Praxis Institute. I take a systems thinking perspective to change while cultivating a sustainability mindset at the individual level, but my arena for impact has been predominantly at the organizational level. This includes serving as a Board Director for over fifteen years across sectors, including organizations such as Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Boys and Girls Club of Southwest BC, and the Association of Energy Service Professionals. It’s also included developing organizational strategies and initiatives that advance justice, diversity, equity and inclusion, environmentalism, and collaboration across silos.

My passion for advancing sustainable development and fostering collaborative action stems from my life experience living/working in three Latin American countries, Canada and the US. It’s made me aware of the deep need for change in the world, and the multitude of realities that exist. This is what ignites and inspires me to cultivate my practice as a transformational change agent. Although I can’t change the world alone, I can cultivate myself, my communities, and the spaces where I collaborate to seek a higher purpose and build momentum toward change, wherever it’s ripe for the taking.
I am excited to work with group of dedicated leaders who come to the Praxis Institute seeking transformation in their sectors to make the world a better place for all.
